OVERVIEW :
Discover the grandeur of Ottoman architecture. The Blue Mosque, one of the most historic and captivating landmarks of İstanbul, is still being used today as a place of worship.
With its six minarets and a series of elegantly designed domes, the Blue Mosque still dominates İstanbul’s skyline. Known mostly as “Sultanahmet Mosque” on account of the rich blue tiles on the ceiling, bearing motifs of Iznik tradition. The entrance is lit by a wrought-iron chandelier, followed by interiors adorned with thousands of tiles and sun rays entering through leaded windows, leading to the miraculous central prayer room. Just near the Mosque, are the tombs of Ahmet I and his spouse Kosem Sultan.
